1:1 tuition for the pupils who need it most

Every child learns differently. Humly provides vetted tutors for EHCP and funded pupils, so they get focused support that helps them build confidence and make real progress.

    What is funded 1:1 tuition?

Funded 1:1 tuition gives a single pupil dedicated time with a qualified, vetted tutor. It is usually commissioned by a school, a SENCO or a local authority team for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), pupils who are out of school for medical or SEMH reasons, or pupils who need a structured route back into the classroom.

Humly tutors work from primary through to GCSE and A-Level, covering core subjects such as English, maths and science, and offer specialist SEN tuition for pupils with a wide range of needs. Sessions take place in school, at the pupil's home, in a library or community centre, or online.

Before sessions start, we gather the essential information from the school or local authority and the professionals around the pupil: their strengths, gaps in understanding and learning goals. The tutor then works towards those goals and shares regular updates, so you can see progress and report on outcomes.

Tuition is funded by schools and local authorities only. Humly does not take private tuition requests from parents.
